The Ramsey High School Field Lighting Committee, was founded with the sole intention of raising funds to pay for lighting to be installed on Ramsey High School's turf athletic field.
When the turf field was installed in 2004, conduit was installed under the field allowing for wiring to be put in when the community was ready to install lighting.
Since then, efforts have been made to have the lights put in as the need for field time continues to increase.
The committee is working closely with The Board of Education and is independently charged to raise the funds to accomplish this ambitious project.
In July of 2009, the Board of Education held an open meeting to the neighbors of the school and all else who might be affected by the lights. Because of the new lighting technology it is clear that the surrounding residents will experience no impact of a lighted field.
Finally, in August of 2009, the RHSFLC launched their website and began collecting donations.
