Coaches Corner
Welcome to the Hotspur FC Coaches Corner. We have created this section as guide for all our coaches and staff, whether you are only a novice licensed coach or “experienced”. The section is loaded with helpful information to make your season a successful one. We highly encourage our coaches to share training materials found successful for posting. And don’t forget to check out the extensive collection of Soccer Videos at the Ramsey Public Library!

Coaches:
Our program to offer continuing coaching training sessions keeps pace this fall with two sessions planned: one for incorporating fitness into your training regimen, and one with various coaching approaches aimed at rounding out your repertoire.
The first will be conducted by Bill Gilligan of Performance Enhancement Concepts LLC and will focus on:
Injury prevention series Active/ Dynamic warm up - preparing the body for workout/ competition
There will be a short classroom session followed by an on field demo of exercises and stretching activities
If you have players U12 and up interested in participating and demonstrating we could use some volunteers. (Please let me know ahead of time - would be good to have some boys and girls)
This will be held on Sunday September 19th at Finch Park with classroom in Senior Center Starting at 6PM with the field session to follow outdoors.
The second session will be conducted by USA which will be held Wednesday September 22nd at McFarren Field from 8PM - 930PM so more of you can make the weekday session. For this session coaches will be again asked to participate/demonstrate during the training.
Important!!!! These sessions were asked for by the coaching group so please make your best efforts to attend and participate.
Plese confirm with Steve Nesson re:your attendance ahead of time as we need a minimum number to make this worthwhile.
